Training Routine

I've noticed exhaustion on certain days. The feeling typically follows extreme hikes where either the trail was long, difficult, or both. It was okay for a while but I seem to have to high a metabolism now to continue at this rate.

Since we tend to hike at least twice a month I was planning to modify my daily training routine. What I normally do is 5 days of core+cardio+weights then 2 days of rest. On hiking periods it would be 4 days of core+cardio+weights then 1 rest day then hike then rest another day.

The routine was fine before not anymore. Now I'm getting fatigued by Wednesday. When Friday comes on a non-hike week I'm too tired to do anything.

After talking to a friend I decided to reduce cardio to 3 times a week only. On non-hike weeks I'd do lifting on Friday and no activity on hike-weeks. Still testing the process out so we'll see.
